Prevention Framework

Children's Clinical and Prevention Services staff are available to work with community- and school-based service providers in each locality within the catchment area of District 19. Professional assistance is available in the service domains of program research, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation.

A prevention specialist is also available to offer consultation and technical assistance with coalition building and participation; community development through risk, needs and resource assessments. Direct services include:

• Educational life skills training for small groups of youth and parents via use of evidence based Prevention models.
• Specialized community programs including: public speaking and health fairs.
• Assistance with development and implementation of community and school based prevention activities, services and programs.
• FREE, one-time, confidential consultation with parents experiencing child rearing issues.
