District 19 Community Services Board Intellectual Disability Services, located in Petersburg, VA is offering a full time Case Management opportunity.  This position will perform case management, service coordination, screening and assessments for adults diagnosed with intellectual disabilities.  The essential job duties include: assisting people in accessing services to meet their individual needs through coordinating resources across agency boundaries; serving as a primary Case Manager in providing supportive counseling; monitoring consumer behavior and consumer services; ensuring the physical, mental, medical and social well being of the consumer; documenting consumer’s progress and maintaining records in accordance with program policies and procedures.
Successful applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field; demonstrated experience working with persons with ID and knowledge of the ID Case Management Services System; personal computer skills, word processing and knowledge of basic office equipment. Prefer applicant with knowledge of Medicaid Waiver and State Plan Option.

Position Title: Information Technology Specialist III

District 19 Community Services Board is looking for a hard-working, enthusiastic individual to become part of the Information Technology (I.T.) Department.  The position is responsible for developing ad hoc reports using crystal reports, forms development using HTML and providing high quality technical support for approximately 250 users both on site and remotely.
Essential job duties of this position include but are not limited to:  developing ad hoc reports using crystal reports; developing forms using HTML; responding to and resolving end user service requests within a specified time frame; diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, moving, cleaning and upgrading hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance; setting up, configuring and delivering new PC and related hardware and software according to agency’s guidelines; applying basic network diagnostic techniques to identify problems; investigating causes and recommending solutions; providing basic user training on new software or changes; assisting in maintaining an accurate inventory of IT assets; disposing of old hardware according to agency’s guidelines.
Successful applicant must have:  Associates degree in computer science or related field, supplemented by a minimum of 2 years work experience in a computer related field or any equivalent combination of specified training, education and experience.  Additional requirements include a minimum of one year work experience in a helpdesk environment, a minimum of one year work experience developing ad hoc crystal reports, forms development using HTML and the ability/willingness to lift and maneuver computer equipment.  Preferred qualifications: Microsoft desktop certification (XP, Vista or Win7) and/or CompTIA (A+, Network+) and network experience.  Experience in a behavioral healthcare environment is also preferred.

Position Title: Peer Recovery Support Specialist

District 19 Community Services Board is seeking a part time Peer Support Recovery Specialist responsible for providing support and assistance in a residential setting to adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.  Position will provide teaching, support and guidance in daily activities, behavioral health, community integration and medical management.  Successful applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, computer skills and have previous experience as a mental health services recipient.  Prefer some college and experience working in a residential setting.
Work hours: Wednesday– Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m./Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Starting salary is commensurate with experience/training.

District 19 Community Services Board is seeking part-time Residential Specialists responsible for providing support and assistance in a residential setting, to adults diagnosed with mental illness.  Position will provide teaching, support, and guidance in daily activities, behavioral health, community integration and medical management. 
Successful applicants must have:  high school diploma or equivalent; minimum one year experience working with people with intellectual disabilities and basic computer skills,  Prefer candidates with some college courses in human services and experience working in a residential setting.
Position above requires a valid VA driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
Starting hourly rate is commensurate with experience and training.  
Weekend and evening shifts are available.

Position Title:  Child and Adolescent Staff Psychiatrist

The ideal candidate will be an innovative and energetic board certified or eligible psychiatrist. Preferred candidate will also be willing to serve adults if needed. District 19 CSB is a multi-jurisdictional, community-based organization whose mission is to improve the quality and productivity of the lives of individuals who experience or are at risk of experiencing mental disabilities and/or substance abuse. 
This mission is accomplished through a fully integrated continuum of services in collaboration with the localities of Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Emporia, Greensville, Hopewell, Petersburg, Prince George, Surry, and Sussex.
Successful candidates must have knowledge of principles, standards, practices and techniques related to psychiatry, psychiatric illness and wellness; of different diagnoses, participating on multi-disciplinary teams, substance abuse assessment and interventions and how they impact treatment of persons with serious mental  illness; prescribing the latest in new psychotropic medicine; skills in psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, consultation and collaboration with other mental health professionals.  Experience in community mental health with persons with serious and persistent mental illness, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders preferred.

Position Title:  Network Administrator (Re-advertisement)

District 19 Community Services Board offers this full-time, challenging, professional position located in Petersburg, VA.  The position is responsible for the day-to-day performance and availability of the network, analyzing the network and recommending upgrades/changes, and assessing the current and future network needs. 
Essential job duties of this position include, but are not limited to:  coordinate NT local area network activities; monitor performance of the network, servers, users, internet; research and keep servers up-to-date, and apply patches/upgrades as necessary; introduce new applications and install on the server/clients; monitor load balance on servers; manage server directory structure; monitor for effective use of the internet and e-mail services; perform preventive maintenance for computers and peripheral equipment; perform and ensure completion and reliability of all system backups on the servers; performing shutdowns and start-ups on system as scheduled or necessary.  This position is also responsible for maintaining network documentation, providing/securing related network training for users, and supervising the work of the IT Technicians.
Successful applicant must have:  Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) 2003 and/or MCITP: Server Administrator Certification required, also requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and considerable network administration experience that is progressively responsible (i.e., supervision of professional staff, project leadership in a data process setting, etc.).  An equivalent combination of the specified training, education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.  Preferred qualifications:   Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification, CNNA, basic VOIP experience, experience administering a VMware (vSphere 4.x or 5) environment and experience in a behavioral healthcare setting.

District 19 Community Services Board is currently seeking hourly Residential Specialist responsible for providing 24-hour residential services to adults. Position will provide support and supervision to assist individuals with skills training, community integration, medication management and problem solving.

Successful applicant must have: high school diploma or equivalent; intellectual disability experience; flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; and valid Virginia Driver’s License with acceptable driving record. Prefer candidates with credits towards an Associates or BA/BS degree in Human Services or related field, and one-year experience working in a residential setting; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

This position is hourly, as needed, with no benefits.
