Area Clinics provide a wide array of mental health, mental retardation and substance abuse services to residents of the cities of Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Emporia, Hopewell and Petersburg, and the counties of Dinwiddie, Greensville, Prince George, Surry and Sussex.

Our primary objective is to provide quality community-based services in the least restrictive setting to people in need by providing tools to improve their total overall level of functioning often resulting in personal growth and empowerment.
Our population may include adults with serious mental illness, children and adolescents with severe emotional disturbance as well as other consumers in need of mental health, mental retardation or substance abuse services

Clinics may provide the following services dependent on their location:

• Case Management for Children and Adults
• Outpatient Mental Health and Substance Abuse Therapy
• Intensive Outpatient Services
• Psychiatric Services - Doctor and Nursing Care for SA and MH Programs
• Psychiatric Evaluations
• Medication Evaluations
• Individual, Family and Group Counseling and Therapy (Mental Health and Substance Abuse)
• Substance Abuse Case Management
• Substance Abuse Evaluations
• Substance Abuse Educational and Process Groups
• Drug Screenings (limited to existing D19 CSB Consumers)
• Psychological Testing (limited to existing D19 CSB consumers)
• Local Consumer Advocacy Committees
• Representation on the communities' interagency agency teams required by the Comprehensive Services Act for Children (CPMT and FAPT)
• Community Outreach
